A Dive into the Soul of Venice
A stay at Palazzo dei Guardiani is a journey into the most authentic Venice, where you'll experience a timeless city inhabited by true Venetians. We're located in the Dorsoduro district, a neighborhood of quiet streets, local markets, and daily life. Near Campo Santa Margherita, you'll find yourself surrounded by fruit stalls, historic bacari, and popular spots frequented by locals, allowing you to experience a vibrant Venice away from the crowds.
Yet we are in the heart of the Lagoon: just minutes from the main attractions, in a strategic location that is surprisingly serene and private.
How to reach us
Venice's historic center is completely pedestrianized: the last accessible point by car is Piazzale Roma. We recommend parking in one of the secure parking garages in the area, such as Garage San Marco or the Municipal Garage (Autorimessa Comunale). Especially during peak season, it is advisable to reserve your spot in advance. Once you leave your car, you can continue on foot to Palazzo dei Guardiani.
If your train stops at the Venice Santa Lucia station, you can reach us in just 15 minutes on foot. Find the fastest route on Google Maps.
For any questions, do not hesitate to contact us: we will guide you to your apartment.
From Marco Polo Airport in Venice, you can easily reach the city by water or land. One of the most convenient options is the Blue line of the Alilaguna service, which departs directly from the airport pier and arrives at the Zattere stop, located a few minutes' walk from Palazzo dei Guardiani. Alternatively, you can choose a private water taxi that will take you directly to the private dock of the facility for a more comfortable and exclusive transfer. If you prefer to travel by land, you can take an ACTV or ATVO bus that will take you to Piazzale Roma, where you can continue on foot. Treviso Airport is also well connected to Venice: in this case, we recommend using the ATVO shuttle service, which arrives directly at Piazzale Roma, an ideal starting point to complete the trip on foot.
